Sports Therapy Maximising Performance

Our Alpha-exclusive sports therapy is specifically tailored to optimise the performance of athletes and gym enthusiasts. We combine various techniques, including massage, cupping, myofascial release, stretching, muscle energy techniques, and joint manipulation. Through these modalities, we effectively flush toxins from your body, mobilise joints, and promote painless performance.

With our therapy, you can take your training to the next level, ensuring your body is ready to tackle any challenge.

Targeted Solutions for Athletes and Gym Goers

Athletes and gym goers often encounter recurring injuries, limited mobility, and the need for effective pain management. We recognise the impact of these challenges on your performance and overall well-being. That’s why our Sports Therapy Osteopathy service is specifically designed to address these concerns.

By utilising our comprehensive approach, we provide targeted solutions to enhance your recovery, prevent future injuries, and improve your overall athletic performance.

Personalised Approach for Optimal Results

At Alpha Sports, we firmly believe that each individual is unique. Our approach takes into consideration your specific goals, health conditions, and sport. Our experienced osteos will conduct a thorough diagnosis, explain your condition, and create a personalised recovery plan tailored to your needs.

By addressing the root cause of your injury or pain, we empower you to achieve the relief and recovery you desire, allowing you to stay on your feet and excel in your athletic endeavours.

Holistic Healing with Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a non-invasive form of manual therapy that focuses on improving the health of all body systems. Our osteopaths employ various hands-on techniques to promote wellness and take a holistic approach to treating and managing your injuries and symptoms.

By targeting the musculoskeletal system, which comprises muscles, joints, and the spine, we enhance the function of your nervous system, circulatory system, and lymphatic system. This comprehensive approach ensures that your body functions at its peak, promoting overall health and healing.

What to expect from your first Sports Therapy appointment

We need to know about you before we start any treatments so we can make sure we are supporting you as best we can. When you arrive, we’ll ask you to complete a short form, and then you’ll go into your appointment with your Osteopath.

We’ll start by getting to know you better. We’ll ask a few questions and review your medical history. This information will help us understand who you are, your goals and your circumstances to help us identify what could be causing your pain or injury and determine the best way to treat it.

Next, your Osteo will use a functional screening method to assess your movement. From here, we’ll explain your diagnosis and treatment plan and treat you. Your treatment may include soft tissue massage, joint manipulation, stretching, dry needling and cupping.

We may also send you home with a series of home exercises to help you strengthen or mobilise a certain area of your body. These exercises will help you take control of your pain.

FAQs

Yes. You can use your private health at our clinic when doing an exercise rehab session with one of our Osteos or Physios at Alpha Sports Medicine.

Physiotherapy and Osteopathy are closely related. Both are AHPRA accredited Allied Health practitioners and both study for at least 3 years to get their qualifications. The conditions we treat are similar too. However, there is a difference in the approach we take to helping you heal and recover. A Physiotherapist will focus on movement and function, while an Osteopath will focus on the entire musculoskeletal system as a whole. Here at ALPHA, we work as a team to get the best outcomes we can for you.
