Welcome to the Recovery Studio at Alpha Sports Medicine in Newport. In this space we can help your body relax, recover and perform at your best. Fully equipped with Infrared Sauna and Normatec technology, we provide an excellent service for recovery for athletes and people with pain.

We provide this service to the Newport and surrounding areas including Altona North, Yarraville, Williamstown and Spotswood. We have the premium recovery technology in the West of Melbourne.

Infrared Sauna

The experience of using an Infrared Sauna is different to a traditional sauna, this is because Infrared light is used to heat your body from the inside, meaning the air temperature doesn’t change. Some of the benefits of infrared saunas include:

Yes. Osteopaths are registered healthcare practitioners and if you pay for extras on your health fund, Osteo should be covered. Check with your health fund before your appointment to confirm if you’re covered.

Physiotherapy and Osteopathy are closely related. Both are AHPRA accredited Allied Health practitioners and both study for at least 3 years to get their qualifications. The conditions we treat are similar too. However, there is a difference in the approach we take to helping you heal and recover. A Physiotherapist will focus on movement and function, while an Osteopath will focus on the entire musculoskeletal system as a whole. Here at ALPHA, we work as a team to get the best outcomes we can for you.
